this is a question for the dedicated snipers out there, im getting an aftermarket hop unit for my APS-2 and i was wondering should i get the stock one or an ajustable one? any info would be great, thanks.

more consistent. less concern regarding hop adjustment and bb weight. less money to spend. more reliable - doesn't reset after so many shots - etc.

should i get one made by CA or PDI?

keep your stock chamber. don't upgrade. the only thing i would touch is the actual bucking. kurage hop up packings. otherwise, keep your stock hop.

im not upgrading mine broke so im getting it replaced.

well i took it to AEX and andrew opened my gun and found a peice of my hop unit in the cylinder, and then my gun shoots 520fps, and it was shooting 340fps and going about fifty feet then droping.

was it rubber or metal inside the cylinder?

the peice that we found was a white peice of plastic.

that could be a piece of the stock recoil spring guide or piston, not necessarily the hop...

nah nah nah. The little white piece, im not sure what that was. Almost looked like part of a barrel spacer. I didnt see anything broken inside the gun immediately. What was busted was the whole hop unit was bent and the gun shooting 150 fps less than it was.

i dont know... i just put in a classic army cylinder kit like 2 weeks ago so i dont think its that.

hey andrew! i found a PDI hop unit for 45 bucks on uncompany so im going to order that in a couple of weeks.
