OK i have now gotten my cd key back THANK YOU STEVE AKA SARDONIC!!!! Now quick question: I have the INtel 965 Mother board chip set, will i need to download drivers for the reformat? Or will XP Pro have them built in?

Try using the 30 day trial version of A-Squared...I think it got 'em all

no need to have drivers for that, every time ive had to reformat ive never had to find drivers for stuff inside the computer, just whats connected to it via the outside ports. I've had to reformat with a lot of different cd's, so...im guessing since all of them reformatted everything without me needing drivers for my Graphics card and MB and stuff like that, i say theres no need for it.

get your motherboard model, I am assuming you have intergrated graphics,sound,etc.

ya its an Intel mother board, and no i dont run intergrated graphics lol only sound lol

oh in that case, your video card should've came with a CD with drivers. As for the motherboard just go to intel and find your specific model.

ya i got my video card drivers, the problem is (Sorry GArry) when i moved I lost almost all of my computer CD's in the move grrrr so ya.

yup this bastard virus wouldnt even let me in REGEDIT or MSCONFIG. i finally got around it in safe mode but im having someone come over and help me reformat lol

you need help reformatting?just pop in your recovery CD and while it is loading up it should ask you if you want to boot from CD, press any key to continue and proceed to reformat, after that install drivers, ;).

You've really given up? You're going to reformat? Dude, no. If you can get into safe mode you may be able to save this (and your files).

The best Antivirus (COmmercial or free) in my professional nerd opinion is Avast.

Yeah we decided it must have been installed with a different cd, because I use magical jelly bean as well, and the program doesn't lie. We didn't need to format it (thank god). I got rid of everything (unless some server has his ip and is gonna send him more crap) using avg, spybot 1.4, adaware7 and cwshredder all in safe mode with system restore turned off.
