While we're on the topic, is their gear quality good? They have a good looking PC on optac for only 100, which is 60 less than the EPC.

[quote]Hokay... so blackwater is owned by this ultra fundamentalist right-winger, you see? He has "connections" in high places aka, a friend of our beloved Bush Administration. Blackwater has been in recent times, contracted by our gov't to assist in disaster relief situations, especially in areas who's national guard and reserve units have been entirely deployed overseas.

The average Blackwater Solutions contract employee makes around $80K to $100K per 3 to 4 month deployment overseas. One of my close friends that I used to work with at McClellan Air Force Base Fire Dept used to be Army Special Ops for 8 years and as soon as the based closed I looked for other fire related work whilest Tim got nabbed up right after Iraqi Freedom broke out. He made around $300K for his 3 deployments.

I was working in New Orleans after Hurricane Katrina and BW had a contract with the Small Business Association who was granting loans alongside the Redcross (I was the USMS tasked out providing security for the Red Cross). Their team leader was a former SF guy who had just got back from Iraq. He didn't talk much but was a nice guy when he did talk. The ground patrol entry level BW employee had no military background but was a deptuy sheriff in Alabama. He said there was no way BW would grant him a contract overseas but he was still making better money working stateside security contracts than his LEO job. He said he made about 9k a month BUT this did not include taxes, health insurance, or 401K. He said he was on leave w/out pay from his job in Alabama but was going to quite and work for BW fulltime. Just my .02 cents from what I've heard first hand.
