Why is it that paintballers and the like always assume that airsoft is for p/wussies?

I don't even bother explaining that i airsoft to people... they come up with the common misperception of clear springers and backyard wars - ie using the lawnchair as cover... The best way to explain it to people - should you choose - would be "I airsoft, and my guns are worth more than your car".

i know exactly what you guys mean about the hardcore side of it being so underground. even the people at my local airsoft/paintball shop (behinde closed doors) say airsoft is stupid/for pussies. they sell CA aegs and kwa pistols so they kind of know better than to sell that hfc springer crap.

the paintballers at my school say that there's a paintball mil-sim and that it owns.

what military uses water pistols?

I def. agree with that... I've played Paintball and airsoft...I'd much rather be hit with a paintball than an a 6mm round. Paintballs bruise... airsoft rounds cut, bruise and blood blister. Also, if airsoft rounds had more mass, most of them would be lethal...

I was at the last Ord game, and got a call from a good friend, he asked where I was and I said, "oh Monterey", he said "oh! that's a cool place! what are you doing there!" I look around and see all the fake guns, real/fake gear, and amped up people, and I say, "oh, just hanging out with friends!" LOL....

ah, I really want to man... but work is kicking my ass all over the place right now, I'm so tired out by the time weekend hits that I'm not really ready to make a 8 hour round trip to Marysville and back, I'll be at the Ord game on the 30th Matt, hope you'll make it.

ya wuss I've done it before :P

once I get settled into work... I'd definitely be up for a trip like that. I miss NAM, it's such a great field.

if I take 680 to Sac, it takes a minimum of 2 1/2 to 3 hours, then there's getting to Marysville... I really shouldn't complain, people have certainly driven farther to play, but I just started my new job and want to have enough energy to focus. Airsoft is definitely not for wussies, would wussies play a game where everything is dependent on honor and integrity? PB is just nasty, getting paint all over you is not my idea of fun.

eh, i don't really like going to SF, parking's just a nightmare, it would be cool to meet you at a game sometime.
