CA M14 -- G&G M14

Jun 18, 2007 8:44pm
I can't seem to find any side-by-side comparisons of the two. Does anyone have first-hand experience with the internals/externals of both? I think I might go to AEX sometime and check them both out, but until then I want to learn more about them. First-hand information is excellent. Links to reviews are great, too. :)

I don't have first had info having owned either of them but I have shot both of them and the CA seems to be just as good if not better because of how much cheaper it is then the G&G, but also the CA's are in there first batch of there m14's so there could be some long term problems that no one is aware of at this current point in time.

Yeah, the CA "match" is almost half of the price of the G&G. Interesting to say the least.

From what i have been seeing is the the CA and the G&G have the same gear box design. However with G&G you have thier under the table garbage quality. The CA i dont know if its better but i would take a CA over a G&G ANYDAY. The CA i was messing aorund with today shot fine shooting a normal CA fps of 330. The bolt catch on those work without any modification. It did sound a little whinyer than ussual but its CA.

The CA is a copy of the G&G. They even use G&G parts on their M14's...

I read on arniesairsoft and went looking at a couple of retailers, so this is probably hearsay that the scope mount for the TM will work on the CA M14, but not the mags. The G&G mags as stated previously will work for the CA version, but thats about it until CA comes out with their own mags, other than a highcap anyway.

James, you're right on the money about this, I've shot the CA M14, definitely not as smooth as the TM, but if someone's set on buying the CA, I guess there's always AEX's 45 day warranty if anything goes wrong...

I got lucky and got to hold and inspect final preproduction prototype. Serialized at 000. It didn't impress me at and unless anyone said anything or looked for the markings you wouldn't be able to tell whether it was a CA or G&G.

AEX website (on the CA M14 Match): "*Compatible with G&G Magazines, not TM. Scope mount from TM is compatible, not G&G type"

Alright so heres what I know. I own a G&G m14, and its my favorite of my guns (yes over rap's old mp5). It really depends how much you want to spend. I went with the G&G because I like the body ALOT better. And there is nothing G&G left in it though, its all systema and guarder. got a 110 and a guarder clear hop bucking in it and at the game we had at the new field I had range on everyone I shot at and everyone with an aeg on my team. Its way easy to tear down, and the hop was easy to get to, except andrew says the gearbox isn't fun to put back together which is why i pay him to do that part. The rate of fire with the 7mm bearings is great, and yeah I love how it feels.

I have a CA m14 scout and its pretty awsome. Now i do plan on upgrades, but right now at stock its good. Also way better feel than TM, but it is heavy especially with the battery. The only downside so far is it only uses 8.4's unless someone custom rigged something to use a 9.6.

Owned both the TM and the G&G, The TM OWNS the G&G PERIOD. Shoots INSANE out of the box, and you DON"T HAVE TO REBUILD IT TO GET IT TO WORK.

hmmm....tm m14 obvious lower FPS OTB then G&G or CA and yet has the same range & accuracy if not better.

Also, if I had a perfect TM gearbox, I'd feel like an ass for upgrading to DMR status -- can't mess with those perfect gearboxes.

I have a TM m14 with metal bushings and a sp120...I play with that AEG more then either of my ALL Systema/Guarder Sr47s or any other AEG of mine for that matter. It is the quietest, smoothest, most accurate AEG (out of the box) that I have ever owned..It is scary straight..Its the only AEG which you can actually use iron sights and hit what you are aiming at, at pretty much any distance....TM M14 all the way...

reminds me of the old CA vs TM debate...the TMS are so flimsy and the have barrel wobble...and CAs are better becasue they are metal and feel solid. I had one of the first CAm15s...wanna talk about barrel wobble....

the full length TM M14 may not feel as solid as the CA or G&G, but don't be fooled. I've dropped my TM M14 many times and even fell on it once or twice and still haven't had any problems. I don't own a TM M14 socom, but I've held a few and it "feels" much more solid due the new stock.

I definitely regret not shooting the CA, TM, and G&G while I was at AEX. :?

Anyone considering mounting a scope on their CA, this could a problem, and its the mount for the TM that works.

Stone If your hell bent on the CA that is Cool, but wait till the fall till CA gets all of the bugs worked out and they get some external upgrade options out on the market.

i wonder if that happens with the 30 other m-14 scope mounts that are on the market.
