i've been thinking that it would be an awesome project to under take. any ideas for how it might be possible. i was thinking of maybe using a heavy weighted blowback bolt or if i was to do this on an electric gun maybe use a tokyo marui with the bolt catch function and weight the bolt signifigantly. that would probably mean tweak ing the gearbox to get more power as well as a larger battery. recoil would be the shit though.
Its been done. A company named Escort makes a blowback engine. They are currently making MP5s, as well as M16A1s, and Top? M60s. They have the AK engine in prototype stages as far as I know. The MP5/M16 uses standard Marui mags (as will the AK most likely) and all of them require an external air source (CO2/HPA). www.classicairsoft.net ... check it out.

i don't mean just blow back but a little bit of recoil, definately nothing close to real but the fell of the gun bucking back, even a little bit, would add so much to the feel of the gun.
escorts do have recoil...
