Sewing in, or having your own handle sewn in could be kind of pricey. I'm not sure if it can be added separately, or if each name has to be part of the digitized patch. Whoever you have do the later embroidering might need a copy of the file in a format compatible with their machines, or they may need to re-digitize the whole patch, which would be very expensive.

why dont you just leave the names for the name tapes?
ya name tapes... you know the "name tags" that the military/law enforcement uses?

Name tapes are a lot more practical and inexpensive, not to mention more useful for other/multiple applications.

I would go for something a little more modern. Those guys look like they would fit in the Nam era well. But most of what we do is 21st century based. M4s and aimpoints or something.
