in anybodys opinion is the ak-47 too big? im 14 and 5'9 i will mostly be playing in backyard games. i was thinking i could just hold it under my arm if i needed to.

9-10-11-12-13yr old vietnamese kids, somalian kids, and many other children born in 3rd World countries use and handle real live AK-47s in actual fire fights... Saddam had trained an army of pre-teens, and issued them AK-47s. I don't see why a 5,9 14yr old American can't handle a BB gun verison of the AK-47. If you find it to big, get the folding stock verison.

i agree with DC on that one, but then again the M16 i feel is too long, but most like it, i like the shorter carbine's like M4s =p

I find the full stocked M16 was too long for me. So I changed all my M16's to M4 tele-stocks....

AK are definatly not ot big im almost 13 and thre not big on me ;-- ;==

well, the ak is big, the reason those kids are using them are because they cheap and there is mass production of em, and they are full auto, the big bullets usually means you only have to hit them once to kill em. 5'9 aint small though, you should be able to handel it.

If you really love AK-47s, and your afraid the full size one is to big, just go with a Folding Stock one. My ak-47 is a folding stock, I love it.

yeah, folding stock ones are awesome, all ak's are awesome, The ak beta's are smaller and cool..... not er, but cool

I love AK's, and don't think they are too big. Just a bit longer than other rifles. I own 2 full stocks, and a Spetsnaz.

Ak's are flat out awesome guns, full stocks/ folding stocks are very accurate and the beta is smaller but it gives me a real gun feel to it. Very sturdy and reliable guns as well. Plus you can sound like a rapper with an AK

thanks a lot guys with all the help. I started out with wanting the Ak beta, then i wanted a full stock ak, then folding stock and then an m4, and then a full metal CA m4. Now I have come full circle and back to the spets. Its amazing how confusing buying your first aeg can be.

lol, i'm sure you will be happy with whatever you get. Just make sure maintain ur gun and you will be good for a long time.
