phoenix gears & systema turbo motor
no offense, but whats with all the negativity on this board? I was just trying to inform those who wanted to know how the phoenix gears were and if they were worth the money. i know that many of you can be helpful and i have pulled a lot of information off this board but i just dont understand why people are so rude. Im not bit ching at anyone, im just saying that the forum gives off a bad vibe when all the people on the forum think there some type of airsoft god. thats all im out. btw grow up

Some people can be an ass shat on the boards but are actually cool in person. It would have been more helpful had you written about the gears in detail beyond the "I'm happy with it...these are great" statements. What's so great about them? If they were self shimming...why did your mechanic have to do some shim work on them?
Thanks shawn for putting those in my gun! we will see if they will last.

The phoenix high speed gears are nicely made Much nicer then systema and even prometheus gearsets. It's gear ratio gives it the fastest ROF over all others. But why couple it with a systema turbo motor which will eat pistons and batteries like mad man?

thank you shawn, yes i will be investing in a new piston, but as right now goes im going to just test out the combo. The gears like you said are very nicely made. they look and preform TONS better than the classic army gears. As for the motor, i believe it will last quite a while even with the gears i have. After all that hoorah stuff, i know how to treat my airsoft gun or believe i do, im not a person whose gonna run through a whole midcap in 3-4 seconds. Burst fire is the way to go and if you cant hit someone with a half second burst something is wrong. But like i said the gears are wow the motor is wow. turned my gun into something else. Btw i cant really tell you how they were put in because i dont work on my guns, i watched my mechanic put it in and he did a great job. All i was trying to show you was that the motor gear combo amazed me.
LOL cool ill report back next month. LOL 10,000 rounds isn't that much, i have an extra eg 1000 waiting just incase the motor burns out =(. I just hope my piston head doesnt blow up :x
I have the turbo motor with a 10.8v 3800mah to it and a guarder piston with a sp110...I havnt lost a piston yet, and it looks pretty much brand new. Maybe Im lucky but I just spent alot of time shimming...As far a a titanium tooth piston the only reason why I didnt do that was because I would rather the weak link in the gearbox be a cheap piston rather then expensive gears.
You just got killed by a Daewoo Lanos...How You like me now?
you know that's a huge misconception about titanium. It's asset is that it's got a better weight to tensile strength ratio then steel. However, given how small and thin of a material we're talking about here it's actually not as beneficial as having a harden steel. The titanium is actually very maliable when it's this small so it won't break anything at all.

yeah I did actually. Wish I had a video camera for that one.

you have to try the draw pistol run to shoot around the corner of the house hit the cardboard covered in dirt and dust to slide on to your ass while the guy you were going to shoot laughs his ass off!
