2 Questions
I have 2 questions. First, I can't figure out how to tell if goggles are ANSI Z87.1 certified or not. Could someone explain, or just give a link to ANSI goggles?
i dont know the answer to your first question
Yep Just read the forum, check the rules, understand the rules, find a game, sign up (usually by replying to the thread) and then show up and play.
to find out if thye are ansi rated. set them on the ground. Walk about 5 feet back and shoot them with someones gas tanaka or upgraded aps. If they dont break then your probably good to wear them. lol
ANSI American National Standards Institute is a multivolume work regulating products in all stages from design, material processing, part manufacturing, testing, implementation. etc It can be found on college campuses in the Engineering library.
ICS + $$$ + time = gun repair experience
Thanks for the help. I might show up at one of the upcoming games.
ANSI 87.1 rated eyewear should be labeled somewhere on the box or tag that it is. Otherwise how would OSHA know if they came to do an inspection?

Just another question: If I don't have a BDU/any milsim gear, will I still be taken seriously?

Also: a final question: Can I remove the orange tip? I know it's legal in almost every other state, but from what I can tell, it's a misdemeanor to remove/alter any "markings required by federal/state law." But most people in CA remove the tips. So is there some loophole I don't see, or will I have to keep the stock outer barrel with orange paint on all guns I purchase?
none of my guns have orange, but if u get arrestd, ticketed, guns taken away dont come crying to me. Treat it like a real weapon and you will be fine.
Yeah, from what I can figure, if a law enforcement agent sees me using an airsoft gun, I'd already be breaking some law. If I got an aftermarket outer barrel, I might just paint the tip orange, then cover the orange part with electrical tape when playing, or something like that.

why owuld u be in trouble? cops roll up on us at the NAM field all the time. They just rol through and wave. sometimes if they are bored they get out and talk and shoot the shi t with us. Just be smart, if u see a cop, put your gun down, DONT POINT IT AT THEM. When u drive with it, drive with it in the trunk in gun bag, keep that mag out of the mag well. BE SAFE BE SMART STAY OUT OF JAIL.
mags should always be out of the magwell except on the game field.
