anyone have any first hand experience with the TM XM-177, i am thinking off buying one but wanted to see if it is a good gun or not! pm me with replies or post. thankx a lot.

It's a Marui, It's a good gun. I have the M4A1. The only diff I see on the XM is Flash hider, fixed carry handle and EG700 motor.

im a serious newbie, i dont know sh!t. so from what you have heard the gun shoots pretty well and is good quality because its a TM, and the eg 700 motor is strong enough, right?

XM is good, but doesn't have a lot of aftermarket external upgrades available.

Yeah thats not a big deal for me, im not going to spend loads of money to add external accessories, i dont have much money to spend on airsoft. I am probably just going to keep the outside pretty stock, except maybe a silencer and a new stock. Thanks for helping me out DC.

If I remember correctly, the XM flash hider does not have standard threads? I don't even think you can remove the flash hider to install a silencer? I could be wrong here, but I'm about 80% certain.... When I say you don't have a lot of external options, you really don't have much.... :)

doesn't kmag have a xm with a silencer on it? might want to ask him how he did it

yeah i wanted to put a silencer on there to make the gun look like the m4 off counter-strike :D , but if it doesnt have threads no big deal. but i'll have to ask kmag to see if it works, thanks everyone.

u said that you don't intend to spend alot of money on airsoft but thats gonna soon change. Ask anyone here and they will tell you that airsoft is a money black hole.

is there a lot of internal upgrades for the XM? And i thought that most m4/m16 parts might be compatible with the XM, but i guess not...

If you want a silencer, get one of the QD ones, they are designed to attach right on the flash hider of an M16 variant. QD stands for Quick Detach.

Yeah, but a QD silencer won't attach to an XM flash hider. I think they're designed for the "birdcage" type flash hiders, aren't they?

XM flash hider is differnt. Can't use standard QD silencers.

i mostly looking for a silencer that doesnt have to silence sh!t, i want it for looks, so if i really had to i could make one!

neouser, i forgot to ask, why would you want an xm-177, when you got a sh!tload of good guns, why would you need a basic one that doesnt support many accessories?!

ok that makes sense now, what guns do u use for skimishes, and are there any guns you are fed up with and want to get rid of (u can give to me lol)

I have 2 AUG, an MP5SD3, an SP89 and an AKBS for skirmishing. They cover just about any and every situation I could run into.
