Soon Im going to put a new piston in one of my guns (once i get it, Its goign to be my new project gun) and i wanted to take off some of the teeth for a higher rof, the only problem is, i dont which teeth to take off (or which end), also I dont know if the mod will cause any problems, cause im going to be running a 110, 120, and some times a 130 in it.

I can answer the which piston question.

ummm for ROF? waht i do is cut two teeth off of the sector gear, the first two that will pull the piston. U loose fps but gain ROF, if u want to u can swiss cheese your piston body by drilling holes through it to make it lighter, it works. Use a gaurder or TM piston. but on you spring choice....dont EVER use a m130 and expect ROF and reliablilty out of your gun. If u do the gear trick the highest gear i have ever used was a m100 and it worked fine. The gear lasted about 15000 rnd on that moded gear.

I "swiss cheese" the pistons in some of my guns, and I use Guarder pistons. They last a long time like that. Just don't drill on the "spine" of the piston, so you don't ruin the structural integrity. Also, I wouldn't use more than an SP100 at most.

To gain ROF, do what Rap said...The mod to the piston does not increase ROF. What it does however is it "retards" the timing of the piston a fraction of a second so that the piston will return fully to its farthest point forward, therefore cycling every bb.. High ROF aegs sometimes are so fast they will not properly feed. A large battery combined with a small spring and a good motor will cycle so fast that a piston that does not have the mod, may not keep up...Basically shave off the first small tooth at the rear of the piston..good luck.
