Have You Seen this thing? I have one, it's pretty awesome for people that gave original games, it has a built in 2.4Ghz Receiver for Wireless Controllers.

hey poison, have you considered going wireless-n? There's some kinks here and there but the extra speed sure does sound good.

I dont build my own rigs anymore. I just take a business lease on whatever XPS is out at the time. Comps are the only thing in the world that lose value faster than a car.

I think dell is extremely overpriced.

i noticed in a Best buy ad last week that they have a ExtremeG Router with HDD built in?

Game files as in installing the game to the router instead of the hard drive? or...?

wouldnt that just slow the router down and make file sharing very slow?

no its more like a external HD. it itsnt built into the internet, but built into the router as if the router was just an external HD, but with internet also in the same package.

except that would actually bottleneck everything. Even on a gigabit lan. You might be confused by the terminology, 1Gb is 128 MB where as a GB (gigabyte, byte>bit) is 1024 MB. So the cpu can access ram like way fast because its like on the motherboard, and a SATA HDD cable transfers data at 3Gbps, but hopefully you have enough ram for the cpu to not have to access the hard drive very much at all if ever.
