Well, if you know and follow Apple rumor sites, its true that we got Iphones from Steve and its only been a hour or so since I got home with mine. Being a employiee, I've been playing around with the thing at work, and find it to be better than most think. I compare it to a PSP in terms of being able to play videos at a better res, ipod, and able to surf the net really well on a WiFi network. The only problem comes with my current provider ( Sprint ) where I extended my contract another two years in January/Feb. and would ahve to pay the termination fee, as well as a additional 30 bucks for the basic plan. The plan itself I don't have a problem with, as I don't use a lot of minutes, and barely text as well.
i say activate it. if all you can do with it is use it or let it sit around for 2 years till you can sell it, i say its worth the fee's.

Beleive its 175 - 210. I've been getting mixed amounts. I'm also on my mom's family plan, so I would have to pay her the term fee From what I know on my current plan, I have:
hmm, well...i would think you would have to, because if you buy a phone from say Ebay or anywhere else, and tell the Carrier you would like to activate the new phone you have, you have to pay the fee.

If you read something on a Rumor site, its just that, a rumor. Only when Apple either does a Press Release or Steve Jobs announceses it. you'll know.
Did you get the phone for free? If so, stop being so damn cheap and pay he fee. Even if it was $300 you still would be ahead of the game $400 because you got he phone for free..
