It slowed the round down enough to be caught by the Steel plate. Other than that, it didn't do much.
haha Ceramic plate. Kinda odd that I'm protected by a block made of material used for bowls and plates.

I'm no expert, but don't vests with steel plates normally have some sort of woven cloth backing on them to absorb and disperse the impact a bit and prevent you from having the plate poking or peeling directly into your body?
well ya there is kevlar in there BUT the fabric is just going to bend around it and keep the bullet from going through. The metal will still dimple in.
The ceramic plating does not reduce the amount of bruising, sadly. It is the kevlar/aramid soft armor behind the plate that reduces the bruising.
