A couple in the midwest was sued by a would be burglar because the stairway he tried to climb up collapsed and he injured himself. Furthermore the city also find them for having an unsafe structure. This story should tell you one thing. If you're going to defend yourself, don't give the otherside a chance to bite back ;)

You did the right thing by not going after them, just think some idiot (or idiots in this case) with 5 bucks and a schwin can ride down to big5 and ruin a cool sport in 10 seconds flat.

2 words attack dog. When you hear stories about dogs attacking intruders. There is nothing but stories about how "brave and loyal" the dogs are. No further investigation, lawsuits or such is brought about. Why? Because a dog is just an animal acting on basic instinct to "protect" it's territory. However, this will only work if the dog attacks inside the house.
