Battery question
Is it safe to run an 8.4v battery on an upgraded gun shooting 340-370 fps? (CA m15a4)

think volts=power amps=duration. the more power the faster your gun will cycle.
An 8.4v will work just fine. As long as it's a high out put (amps) you'll be fine.
"If today is a good day to die, then how bad could it be to live today?"
P=(I^2)*z=(V^2)/z
aaaahhhhhhhhhhgh!
Alright guys maybe I am just foolish but here is my understanding of it hence my original question.

25 amps is alot, i get away with 15 amp fuses with 400 fps gun but that dont mean shit....check your motor it may be burning out, shimming could be bad. stuff like that.

So, you increased the load on the cicuit by having a higher spring, look at the following equation:

Just to clarify the technical discussion here.

it could be its shimmed to tight or maybe a bearing is locked up . Is Piston is off track? . Something is causing a LOT of resitance in the box, and that it causing a crazy power draw.

Ya happened to me. 2 of the my bearing cracked and my guns ROF dropped in half and the motor voerheated and burned itself out :oops:

yes thank you, I think the piston is getting stuck, that is what it seems to be, the shimming seems fine they move freely with the spring/piston/tapet plate removed and the gearbox closed. I noticed some imperfections on the rails on the piston which i shaved off, its seems to move more freely in the track but I want to get new wiring.

let's set aside the textbook here and put it in airsoft terms.
