fire a shot in semi after the shot and you hear gears turning with a "clack" sound.

ok i opened it back up and reset the selector gear and hooked up and 8.4 battery but the same thing happened.

There's nothing to reset. You have a worn part somewhere.

when i reset it i opened the gear box and placed the selector gear is its correct resting position.

either your nozzle is worn out or broken, or your hop bucking is torn. did you physically take the barrel out of the hopup unit and look at it, or do you assume its fine because the hopup spins the bb?

Again "Timing" is a myth. There is nothing to reset. Something in your gearbox is worn out.

that is more likely due to the fact that the gear is over spinning and or the anti-reversal latch isn't catching it in time because it is worn out.

you should probably check your hopup rubber to see that it isn't physically damaged. Also check to see if it's wornout by turning the hopup off and dropping a bb down. If the bb falls through then your hopup is wornout. If it holds it then it isn't.

You think the anti-reversal latch is ok doesn't mean that it is. Also the nozzle could be worn away from use. But that could also mean a loss in FPS. The only way to be sure of it is to replace either one or both.

Hey I have a spare anti reversal lying around here somewhere.
ok i empty my gear box leaving only the gears and the latch and tryed to make the latch slip but could not. i then replaced the spring on the latch and just for the hell of it reshimed the gear box but had the same problem after it all went back together using an 8.4 battery.
