ok so heres what im up to with my mp5k. i just ordered soem acessories for my mp5k and i bought a new spring and metalbushings with polycarb inserts. (were said to make gun less noisy but they were 8$ so i cant go wrong there and im trying to make the gun as quite as possible). i was for a while just thinking of having aex do it but i dont really have the money and i would llike to know how to get into my gearbox. so im thinking of doing all of this myself. do u guys have and upgrading tips and guides for a version 3 gearbox upgrades? also the spring should be pushing around 350fps so what would be a good battery i could fit into my mp5k with more power? i may also put a type of pouch between the retractible stock and put a large battert in it.
hmm, if you want quiter internals you need to have the gun shimmed well, also u might want to get a silenced piston head set. and finally i heard someone on this board suggest you line the outside of the mechbox with a type of insulater used with car sterio, although idk how much room youll have in an mp5k, hey btw what strength spring did you go with. im plannin on gettin an mp5k but im going the rof route not the silenced route. im gonna get high speed gears high speed motor stock classic amry spring and teflon coated cylinder, plus a tight bore cuz well you know
i bought a km 1.00j spring. if im right thats about 327 fps but jungletoy says its about 350 fps but im trying to go for that fps range ill crono it and stuff later. the spring was only 6.99$ so i went ahead and bought it. and yea ive herd about the foam around the motor and gearbox. someone on www.airsoftretreat.com did it to his p90 theres a review on it somewhere. im thinking of doing this but i dont know how much room there will be in the mp5k.

with an M100, tightbore (110mm), and all the gewgaws inside, I am still shooting 301 fps.

yep, the TM MP5K uses a type 4 cylinder, with is very low volume + a short barrel for minimal acceleration time combines to make it hard to push bb's out at high velocity - that is why most of the upgrades for this gun are targeted at increasing the rate of fire, easy to change out small volumes of air very quickly, vs. large volumes quickly (rifle or carbine).

You can fit a 8.4v 1100 mah ak stick battery in the battery compartment without cutting the bolt, but the bolt then cant go back....
