ok i have a TM M4 and i was shooting in my backyard and my gun started having this grinding noise for the motor. it basically sounds like i am striping my gears. but i have no idea how to disassemble my gun and fix it. i need some help cause i wanna play this weekend. so if anyone can help please do.
Check your set screw to make sure it didn't come loose. It often makes that sound when it's not fully engaged. It's the little hex screw that sticks out the bottom of your grip. No point in stripping the gun down if it's not a serious problem.
Wow i feel like a newb...that was it the whole time i bow to u!!!!
You might want to put a small drop of rubber cement (tm ala snoopy) or glue to keep it from backing out again. Just glad to help.
the screw shouldnt back out as much as it did, dont use rubber cement or tape, use a small dab of blue loctite, that should hold it perfectly, just have to know how to tune your motor.

Nail polish will hold that sucker in too.... Glue? How about when you need to readjust for some reason?
Ray's got the MOVES!
