Sorry Mike, I've been at work 8) You know the work where I'm trying to isolate the gene that builds resistance to malaria, the one where you say doesn't matter since if black people don't die in Africa because of malaria it will just be something else...yes that work. You did not reply to any of the question posed to you. Instead you post how superior you are to people, and how you are important because of the work you do. How self absorbed of of you .you change the argument to iraq, as your arguments are hollow, and nothing more than partisan talking points. You say you want to have a discussion, yet you have yet to discuss anything. Only to make statements, and not reply to fair questions. You struck me as a smart guy, and well researched. But all I have seen is partsain hack talking points out of you.

Rcas hit a GREAT point. There is a high unemployment rate in Iraq and with thousands of unemployed young men nothing productive can come out of that.

a couple of points....

Gun control lol. Ok i'll take this one too. Does a civilian need an AR15 for protection? No, there are plenty of other firearms much more practical for protection but give me a good reason why we shouldn't have the ability to own one? Its not a practical stickup weapon, its not that easy to conceal without looking strange. Increased gun ownership does not equate to increased gun violence, switzerland is the perfect example. Mandatory military service of every male and as a result EVERY household has a rifle. Not alot of firearm murders in that country.

The knowlege that most people don't have a weapon concealed on them, poverty, NO JOB, but mostly that Joe Snuffy won't whip out a colt .45 and fuck up your grill and blast your brains out the back of your head if you pull a stickup with a firearm. In Montana i believe you can carry a firearm on your person with no CCW permit and there aren't alot of crimes with firearms there either.

there are more alchohol related deaths than gun related. if they ban assault weapons and they did did it help????? nope thats why the federal assault weapons ban sunsetted(expired). why you ask ? because it didnt help. when they outlawed assault weapons did the criminals register, turn it or stop procureing them?? no. our society is fuked because our children are stupid. why are they stupid? the tv is not a babysitter. teachers should fail students if they aren't at the proper grade level. the high school proficency test is to HARD? gimme a break some parents tried so sue cause little sally or joe or whoever didnt graduate.

i'm pretty sure they're almost nonexistant from what i heard but i havn't seen a direct comparison state to state.

my cousin lives in a big city in arizona ( i forget which one) and carries a .40 smith he has a permit and says most people out there pack a piece. he also says people are a lot more polite and the crime rate is a lot lower. when potentially everyone carries who are you going to rob?

YES not everybody can win. you can't win if someone doesn't lose. and political correctness is bullsh it as well. stupid people are academically challenged? poor people are financially challenged?

oh and the entire state of montana has just under 1 million people in it
