I have an AK I bought heavily upgraded, that died last weekend at Ord. I know the selector switch needs to come out to remove the mechbox. It has a Guarder selector lever, and I canât seem to figure out how it comes out. I found a video online that said to pry off the cap to expose a screw. But that was for a stock TM AK Spetnaz. I didnât want to just pry it off and break something. Any advice?

Terry, it is the guarder type like the one in the picture. There is a bit of LOCTITE on it. Use some channel locks with tape on the jaws so you don't scratch it up.
