time to go stock up this month... whats next? punishing people who buy too much ammo or too often?

Uh, fellas... Read the story again. This law is only in effect in either Sacramento city limits or Sacramento county (it was a bit vague)... All you got to do is drive to a neighboring community or order ammo online...

my thought is lets look at the big picture... our representatives in this county have come to accept that the gun laws in place don't work because there is a large black market for guns in sacramento county, ie criminals are not purchasing guns from legal gun shops.

I read somewherez that some slimey politico is trying to pass some kind of federal "arsenal" legislation. Whereas, If you own more than 15? gunz or 1000 rounds of ammo, you need to file for an Arsenal permit with the federal govmint. Furthermore, ATF is required to enter your home to validate you have sufficient means of securing the guns or ammo (Big ass safe!) every 3 years.

About 10 years ago I went into a gun store and waited to be helped. You should have seen the look on the sales guys face when I told him I needed 3000 rounds of 9mm. Of course he asked me why I needed so much and if I was going to resale it. When I told him I was going to the police academy he still would not budge from the counter. He did not agree to sale me the ammo until I gave him the letter I had from the police academy which was typed and signed by the director on the academy's letter head.

You cannot smoke anywhere you want. Places that are fire hazards are not allowed. However, to say one can not smoke on public streets or in one's backyard or porch is another thing. Dictating where and when is a major loss of our personal freedom. Even if you're not a smoker it should be sending up red flags because what's next?

i think if the law has or did pass then it is only a matter of time tell the state pass the law for all of CA

That's no reason to give up. Write and call your representatives! This was voted on LAST YEAR for the state of California and we managed to kill it.
