Legal airsoft gun transportation?

Aug 22, 2007 11:51pm
What's the specific law regarding airsoft gun transportation? I know that the gun has to be in a closed container, but what does that mean exactly? Does it mean a lockable case or just a duffel bag of some sort?

I'm not positive, but I beleive that's only for firearms... putting it in a bag, in your trunk is more a common sense rule...

whatever laws work for a real gun i use for my airsoft. A gun is a gun regardless what it shoots. Treat these the same as a real gun and your golden.

I dont believe there are any laws written for the transportation of airsoft guns. Just use common sense, put it in your trunk in a bag.

Keep it out of sight. I like what Ryan said treat it like a real firearm and you should be fine.

transpo in a vehicle (this goes for paintball so should apply to airsfot)

On Government Transport (or regulated transport like said above), an Orange Tip is commonly required to distinguish itself as being a MOCK or REPLICA weapon. If they ask to see whats in the case, they can pull that Orange Tip on ya.

my CO says its common sense. You are on a military base, if you got an M16 in the back and the mp's decide to do a little vehicle search, how do you think they will react?

Necro is a prefix for "dead." Necroposting, the act of submitting a post within a dead thread.
