I'm kinda confused about the FPS limits. Would a Tanaka double action revolver shooting over 400 FPS be allowed? If so, would it have a larger minimum engagement range?

Anything shooting over 400 FPS is relegated to the "Sniper" rules. Engagement distances of 100ft or more, single shot and with a maximum of 500FPS. Due to the heat of the summer it will most likely not be allowed since that can push the FPS beyond the 500 limit.

I had believed that single action weapons could go as high as 550 FPS with .2s, but I could very well be wrong.

Yep 550 is the max with .20's. As for the pistol if it is shooting that hot than use 134a it will be ok then, or it should be. Gas guns SUCK! I felt bad for a guy that just bought a TAnaka gas powered rifle and at 8 in the morning was shooting 575, temp was around 70ish so that means as it gets hotter as the day progreses than it will be more powerful.

I thought this guy was. I do not know how much they cost but he was all stoked to use it but I know what thos ethings shoot at so I asked him to chrono it. He was bummed when it showed 575 and then being told that that thing was too hot for almost all fields that I know of. Hopefully with 134 it will bring it down to around 500 on a hot day.

That would bite, but people who don't understand how gas pressure goes up or how to tune it for hotter days should not be able to use them. It's an ass of an opinion but better safe then sorry seeing has how irresponsible I've seen a lot of players are.

I think I saw him return it to AEX yesterday and but a M14.
