Anyone experienced in GBBs? Problem with my MP5K

Aug 31, 2007 12:28am
My Maruzen MP5K recently took a huge crap the other day. We were messing around with it outside - I'm pretty sure it was because of the extreme heat since the gun was in the sun for a good 10 minutes on a table - and when I fired it, I heard a very loud pop...even for this gun. It only uses 134a (Green Gas is instant death), and now when I fire it, there's not enough pop to chamber the next round.

The O-ring looks good....as far as I can tell, everything looks normal, but I haven't stripped everything yet.

I'd try to find another magazine and try it, or inspect the magazine manually for leaks or breaks.
Check out my FS thread! Lots for sale!

I don't have experience with this personally but I understand it is something that can happen with these. There is a small spring in the bolt assembly that can become unseated and cause this. There should be a guide for it on the interweb someplace. I think I may be able to get a word document explaining it for you. I'll let you know if I get my hands on it and it seems worthwhile.

People still run green in them. I see it all of the time.

When I took it apart, everything seemed to be in working order. I don't know which spring you're talking about, but they all seem to be properly in place.

FIXED! :D

you need to crimp the end of the spring so it doesn't slide down the guide rod... if not it will happen again.

That is why I bought a Vz61 Skorpion :D.

I tried crimping the spring, but it still slides all over the place. Oh well, a #2 washer worked just fine with a tiny bit of work with some small pliers. You only need to prevent the spring from jumping past the black clip that's supposed to stop it (but obviously doesn't).
