BAN on Lead Ammo

Sep 7, 2007 7:19pm
The CA legislature passed AB 821 (lead ammo ban) and it's going to Arnolds desk now. We need this stopped. Like so many other "not gun control" laws, this is a sideline attack on all guns in CA. The lawmakers, very much straight along party lines, make an unproven claim that puts the blame on lead bullets for the condors' ills. So obviously ban lead ammo, right? But what alternatives are there? How many rifles and shotguns will accept those alternatives? Are those alternatives proven as humane hunting ammunition? How many hunters will simply hunt in other states? What about the portion of the hunting license fees that goes now to support the condor preservation?

This sounds like a pretty shitey bill, I am an avid hunter and outdoorsman, this bill would destroy many of the things i love to do or at least make it extremely expensive

Thank you very much, every email counts. As a VERY avid hunter I thank you for your support. Please forward this information to anyone else you think might support our hunting rights.

Because of the retarded laws I only bird hunt in California. I go to Idaho and Colorado for my deer and elk hunting.
I shoot Table Gypsies on sight!

Your link for info on the bill seems to be broken. I'd really like to check this out, but Google just sent me to the Audubon version of the story.
