That looked painful...post pics of the bruise

it took us 2 weeks to do it, and that was only 2 real day so of work. Designing the darn thing took a while, then we hopped around to 3 different hardware stores over the next week trying to get the parts together. It was a lot of trial and error, b/c we had no practical idea how to do it. But now, after doing it, we could do it in a single day. But the thing costs about $100. The PVC pipe and fittings are cheap, but they add up. The sprinkler valve and the brass fittings (ball valve, 1/4 turn valve (the trigger) are what kill it.

I want to check it out tomorrow! :D
Could you pm me the plans for it?
yeah, the problem there is we don't exactly have "plans" for it. We made a plan for it one way, then reality hit when we went to the hardware store and we modified it all sorts of ways. But I can give you a pretty good idea about it at least...

yeah, we all thought of that after I got shot...next time that happens (if there ever is a next time) a pillow will be used. That foam chest pad I had gave me very little protection. Though, ideally, under safe use, this will never hit a living thing...just shot through windows and "blow" up houses/bunkers and such...and speaking of that, i can't wait for that thing to see action at Ord at the end of the month!

Lets hope someone doest stick his unlucky head out of a window of a room your trying to blow up.

It looks like you have your riot control version finished. It was the cut down, low pressure, training version you planned to bring to Ord, right?

right, low powered is easy...we are going to cut down the pressure chamber to 6" instead of 20"...that'll drop us from the 250/200 fps range to about the 200/150 fps range, and then we can always lower the PSI from 60 to something lower. I don't know what exactly the safe fps will be for that gun...Ord can decide. But they say that anything rocket launchers and misc launchers have to be below 400 fps...so I dont' know...

400fps with what weight projectile?
blain-o made one a couple of years ago talk to him.

i built one like a year ago, it was freakin awesome. i love it, but its annoying to carry around cuz its so long. hurts like hell to get hit tho. lol.
That was pretty cool but I'm sure engagement distances are a must for that sucker...
