You can most definatly trust an TM AK for a primary. In fact if you want something you can trust I would recomend that exact gun. Reliable as hell and a great all around weapon

TM = good quality guns, as for reliability, it will be perfect as long as you dont touch the internals as soon as you open the gearbox up and start upgradeing then you may have to wonder, though the TM AK47's come with a ver. 3 gearbox (which is supposed to be more stronger/reinforced compared to a TM M4 or MP5) its up to you really, TM guns are great guns i have only owned TM AEGs, i dont think i had a CA at any point...anyways good luck to you

The one thing bad that I've seen with the TM AK-47, is that both AKs I've owned have had the selector switchs screwed up. My current Folding Stock AK-47 only fires full auto, and my other one I traded a few months ago only fired full auto too. My friend in fresno decided to have his AK upgraded, and after he got it back the gun only fires full auto. Not sure about anyone else, but from the 3 AK-47s that I've seen with upgraded internals only fire full auto.

That helps, but i don't know whether to get the TM AK-47 or an ICS MP5 A4 v.3.5 with internal upgrades.

NICE!!! BATTLE WOUNDS!! those are the best, or used standard mags...wow lots of character, yea though, onto topic, TM AK47 = good gun, n00bs usually get a M4/M16 variant or a MP5 of some sort, AKs are good though.

I can vouch for the ak family.

My SVD is still Runing strong. The original sacair SVD and still the only one thats all metal with proper russian optics lol

I'm hearing all these people have SVD's, are those upgraded Ak's? If not, where can i buy a quality SVD, as the dragunov is like my dream sniper rifle, but i dont see many around at all. onto the topic-lots of bagging on ICS, which im sure isn't unfounded due to the dirty crap they put out on their 2.0 versions. but airsoft elite ICS MP5 v3.5's are a steal, I've had one over 10 months and it hasnt given me anything to complain about. great overall gun, all metal, accuracy is kickin', easy field stripping, awesome reliability. Compared to the plastic TM guns shooting at 285, ill take the airsoft elite mp5's, granted TM makes very reliable stock guns. However the quality and performance of the ICS MP5 v3.5 is worth every penny. don't get me wrong, im not taking a shot at TM here, but i am saying airsoft elite ICS MP5 v3.5's are kickin' guns. though, im not surprised if some of you don't believe me considering ICS's MP5 history, but i recommend trying one out for yourself and deciding. to specialforcesOOEK, (our names are similar, heheh) i can honestly say it is the best airsoft gun MP5 i have ever had. (and the price was nice too). great gun for a beginner.

About that full auto problem... i'm too lazy to read through and find out if it was answered or not but its just a thing with the selector switch "gears" not aligned properly. the selector plate is on the left side of the mech box but the switch for it is on the right side. so theres these parts with "teeth" on them to move the selector plate and such... lol sorry bad description
