According to a commenter on the Revâs site, whom I have no particular reason to doubt, âThatâs a training field in Germany, and that is a sound supressor used when firing artillery rounds in tests. The vehicle is a US-made M109 from the German army.â (Comment pretty heavily edited for little social niceties like grammar, spelling and punctuation.) If you google around a little, you can find it referred to by the German word Schalldaempfer, which my fifteen-year-old college German tells me means âsound absorber.â So yeah, I think itâs legit.
