any special model? PCI or USB?
Where is the router located? Is it upstairs or downstairs? Any walls or interference that affected your xbox? Is your current router wirless a/b or g?
first off, get a name brand router,
If you've got the cash, a D-link gamer router, and any D-link wireless card will give you some insanely fast connections, http://games.dlink.com/products/?pid=370&#DGL-4300
that website makes me laugh out loud.

the router will be located on the first floor of a second story house. My room is directly above the router room.

Never had a problem with Linksys.

the main advantage of using a PCI card in a desktop system is the external antennae...
So if I go with a USB, I should still be able to actively use my pc for gaming? BF2, WOW etc? I'd perfer to stick with the USB style just for the simple install, don't want to void my warranty with dell.
