actual utility of scopes?

So from what i've been reading, all red dot/holo/magnifying scopes are merely for looks. Does everyone agree or what?

Nope, not at all. Red dots are way better than iron sights if you ask me, and they look cool.

They are quick and a lot easier to use. You should always learn how to use your iron sights though.

Iron sights are good, but red dots rule, once you take the time to sight them in for your eye they are very quick to aquire targets, much faster than iron. Also at night they are a must. Try looking through your iron sights at night you cannot find them, a red dot though will shine really bright I turn my intensity to almost 1 (lowest setting) at night and have no problem sighting in on targets. I do not know anything about scopes like to try a low power version, something with lighted recticles.

I use my scope for spying on the cute ladies.
Look, I'm a politician, which means I lie, and I'm a cheat.
