Custom M4 plans??
I've decided to build a custom m4.I'm planning on using a TM m4 base and puting this MBK kit on it.I'm also going to take out the internals and put this systema gearbox in it.

do whatever you want its your gun not ours. I build mine only for practability not coolness. meaning i have a scope i can use, a front end that serves MY needs and a full stock because its the most comfy for me.
I know but do you think the gearbox will be reliable? And an overall good gun?I also wanted someones opinion on front end to buy?I want to be able to mount a m203 on it.Thanks ryan for the reply.

I have a a sr-16 ris with eotech and rear sight added to mine. Just bought a 733, and changed to the mbk bushmaster, turning it into another m4. Both have systema internals, so, go with your gut feeling.

Some say-That it's impossible for him to wear socks, and he can open a beer bottle with his testes.

I like the vltor stocks. How much will a real vltor stock cost because I knwo there is a way you can put them on airsoft guns.

theyre compatable for the m4...they'll hold.
Wow. 270 is a lot for the gearbox. You are already buying a Marui. I think its a waste of cash to replace the whole gearbox. Do a basic spring and bushing upgrade along with some new gears and you'll be set.

Are you planning on rewiring the gearbox to the back or leaving it in the front? Cause if you're wiring it to the back, get a CA crane stock. If not, buy online dealer for the vltor real stock.
if you're going to buy a separate gearbox how can it be TM based? Also if you're going to go that route why bother buying a donor gun and just buy everything individually. Personally, TM gearboxes are highly underrated they are casted much tighter then alot of the so called reinforced gearboxes. People who tend to crack them are doing so by going to the extremes in terms of ROF and FPS which is more due to the inherent weakness of the v2 style gearbox than anything else.

You just got killed by a Daewoo Lanos...How You like me now?
TM gearboxes have tight tolerances but they are thin. I have seen them crack into peices (right in front of the cylinder) at least 5 times from 120 spring or smaller..It happens. TM's are good gearboxes but they have their limits too. If he is going to be under 400fps stick with the TM gearbox, spring, bushings, spring guide and call it a day. If he is going to be over 400 and you have the money get the complete gearbox and dont look back. Sell your stock gerabox for $75 and your at $200 which isnt bad for a solid setup.
