its easy. Take the mag apart you two shells you need to unscrews. then lift the top half out take note where everything is (im doing this off of my memory from about 2 years ago when i did it) On my hicap it was the pin that broke. Take out the pin go to hardware store get one thats long enough to fit inside the the box and hold the gear without any slipage. Put it all back together. If your not mechanically inclided TAKE PHOTOS as you go so you can see where everything goes and HOW it goes. This is an easy repair it should take you no more than 20 minutes if yo have the pin ready.
Got the same problem with mine. Need to figure out how to make a pin and get it working before tomorrow morning =/ home depot is closeeeed :(
