Honor

Oct 14, 2007 3:56am
I think this is a lost concept. I think today it is all about just go with the flow and not do what is right because it could cause waves. It is a sad time.

Look I am not going to start a big ting here I ma just way pissed off right now. BUt I feel if something happens that is wrong ten we need to eforce it. But it is not happening. I liked tis place because most guys here were honor bound and proud and I liked being part of thaT. It was cool to think I helped enforce that kind of place that is why I helped get so many fields. I liked hanging otu with tese kind of peeps. Guys that were building something cool and fun. I still like doing that but now I do not know. Again I am just pissed.

honor is honor regardless of the context it is discussed in. You're not alone in that field Eric. Airsoft can be a total blast with the right group and a complete waste with the wrong ones. Most have to do with people's inability to think beyond themselves. Common sense, courtesy and thinking of others is seriously laking in our society these days.

you make it sound like some kind of High School drama queen scene. I think the term honor that Poser is talking about is the selfless, altruistic behaviors where thinking about the general well being of all around you, and the common courtesy to behave like a civilized human being is more important than being right, in front, first or more "manly".

I know I'm fairly new here and don't have a lot of clout, but I have a humble suggestion. I think if there is something wrong, it's everyone's responsibility to correct it. In this case we need to call out the wrong right here and bring it out into the open instead of beating around the bush and talking in generalities.

It seems that there are certain people out there in sacair, like to bring drama. Like i saw about the "do not be stupid" thread, what's up with that? Are you planning on banning this person from that field forever? I doubt it. Are you planning on enforcing more rules? Cause the games i see, it doesn't work well.

Then you better have your admins do their jobs ....if you are pissed about the situation, have a meeting with all of them. Go over some things, or look for new ideas to make that field a cool place to hang out then.
Oct 14, 2007 4:31am
Look the admin's host the games and they have final say of how things go on the field. I believe though that regardless of whether or not you're an admin if someone is breaking the rules at a game you should give them a friendly reminder. If someone's firing in the parking lot say something. If someone's got an unstowed rifle say something. The rules are there to protect you, our ability to play on public lands, and reduce any sort of problems that would prohibit us from enjoying airsoft.

I think we all need to cool down. Go chill for a little while then come back and have a rational discussion. We don't want to say things that we'll regret or cause others to lose respect for us. Guys, we need to set a good example for those watching this thread....
