are you using the mount that sits forward on top of the barrel for the SOC16's? If so then check the alignment of those. It could also be that the rails are off spec causing the entire mount to be shifted to one side when mounted.

On the socom 16 yes, and on the M14 its not the rail in scout position, its right over the reciever. Both of the mounts are dead center anyway and i dont see how they could be adjusted, i know its something to do with the L-mount I linked too.

the scout mount is a barrel clamp. Undo the screws and it can rotate. If your m14 is not side mounted but mounted through the stripper clip then it is adjustable. Try a different mount to see if that alleviates the problem.
