Classic Army Armalite Questions

Thinking about picking up an M15A4 and just visited CA's website and noticed that there was an M15A4 and an M15A2. Is there anything internally different between the two models and which is newer? I've also read that the hop up buckling is kinda janky. What do you recommend replacing it with? I've also heard of the teeth on the piston stripping prematurely, again what should I replace this with? I'm just trying to do some research on it. I'm somewhat proficient opening the mechbox and doing modifications but if anyone has some first hand experience that'd be great. Thanks.

haven't had any problems whatsoever with my M15A4 rifle, couldn't be happier.

agreed. No problems with CA M15A4s now that they use good hoppup units in them. I love mine

The difference between the A2 and A4 guns is that the A2 does not have a detachable carrying handle, and the barrel does not have the cuts in it like the regular M4s do. Other than that, they are pretty close to each other.

I have the M15a4 Rifle, great gun, have used it at about half a dozen games, never have had a problem with it. Hell was using it as a support weapon the weekend before last. The carry handle is detachable like an M4, so you can mount a scope or reddot on easier.

Good to hear that Classic Army is fixing a lot of the problems I've been reading about which is great. I'm looking to purchase either an M15A4 Rifle or an M15A4 SPC.

Both are great guns, hope you have fun with it, whichever you buy.
