Question on CA SLR 105 A1 Compact (Steel Version) Airsoft

I have heard general roomers that the CA SLR105 series weapons have some problems right from the get go. Before I mention the roomers I have heard, I would like to know what you either "know" or have heard? I'm going to possibly be purchasing one and any info is good info. :D

I had a CA SLR-105a for awhile, no real probs, cept the motor kept getting hot, cause I was using an auto winding mag........
Seek the Narrow Gate, for the path is broad and the gate is wide that leads to destruction.

I have one, still with me...works like champ. I replaced plastic rear sight block w/ metal one & add auto back bolt.

Got my SLR-105 right before the last Fort Ord game. I think it was a great buy, though I had a problem... The setscrew on the motor gear (pinion gear) came out and went into the mechbox, I put it back with a little Loctite and no problems since. Good R.O.F., accuracy and range out of the box.

good gun to base off. The only issues i know of is on some of CA's older v3 and maybe current v3 gear boxs the wireing harness can over heat and burn out due to bad soldering. Their bearings arnt the best, i have seen them break under little to nostress bu thten again my second set of systema bearing just went thus proving that bushings over bearings lol.

I have nothing to offer but blood, toil, tears and sweat.
