technology drives strategy. As tech. moves forward, so must tactics adapt to optimize the use. Unmanned air-support will only become better. Smart weapons will only become better. BUT, boots on the ground will ALWAYS be required to actually take and hold territory/objectives. I don't think the AF should be dissolved, but I also don't think it should never be considered. The goal should always be the best defense of our country. Some nostalgic attachment to "fly-boys", or whatever service you choose, is dangerous when it keeps the best decision from being made. The AF's role is still way too important and unique to be dissolved.... for now.
