From my experiances and what other more knowledgable people(Andrew, Snoopy) have told me and others CA just have not perfect compression. Throw a stock TM piston head and cylinder in there and it will hit around 340-350 with the stock spring.

Most of the new CA's I've worked on in the last year or so have had quite decent compression. A little lube on the cylinder heads nozzle and your good to go. The times I run into issues seems to be hop to gearbox related.
