If you give to a charity please think of giving to one of these two charities. The Naval Special Warfare Foundation or Navy SEAL Warrior Fund.

How old school is old school? Most of the older stuff I like is mid to late 90's
Nov 6, 2007 3:17am
Mid or late 80's I'm guessing what he's talking about... Real Ol' Skool hip Hop.

Old School is Beastie Boys, 2 Live Crew, Run DMC, Too Short oh wait that maybe too old for the most of you. But some of the best old school hip hop is actually late 70's funk like Grand Funk Railroad, Bee Gees,. Then there are groups that run from the late 80's to early 90's like Pharcyde, Cypress Hill or House of Pain.

Yeah RUN DMC, BEASTIE Boyz and a few others are old school might I add are some of the makers to all of this ecspceially the makers of Hip Hop. I would say Eazy-E and NWA were the makers of rap music.

yeah thats a well known hit, I tried to put some of the best songs by the artists (Which are usually the most under-rated)

I would be more inclined to say hip hop has it's origins in funk. While rap is an evolution of skat. While R&B has it's roots with jazz.

Can you post up a skat band video. Ska or Skat, or have I been spelling skat wrong all these years lol. Is the Old No Doubt skat or Dad Fish, Rancid, 311 or Sublime?

you've got to be kidding me right? Skat started way before there was TV.
