Not super old school, but Ice Cube started the west side rap scene with Dre, X, Snoop... etc... West side connection anyone?

Where did cube and dre come from, NWA along with Eazy-E and the rest of the NWA crew. NWA brought up the west coast in the mid and late 80's. Then they all went their separate ways and branched it out for other west coast artist to come up, like snoop, r.b.l possie (SF), cool nut, X, mac 10 and the west side connection. etc, etc. I don't know if DJ quick should be up on the list too but his beats were cool back in the day. Quote me if I'm wrong.
