M15 vs M16

I was just wondering a bit. What the difference between a m15 and a m16. Real and airsoft. Thanks, curiosity killed the cat hopefully I live to tomorrow.

Negitive. Armilite calls they're M4 line M15s. Classic Army has the licence to reproduce Armilight's m15s. The differences between the COLT M16/M4 line, and Armilite's M15s, I dunno.

Other than a bigger round for the m15. They explained the individual guns, but what about between them. So is a m15 the predecessor to the m16 and the upgrade from the m14? Or just naming in a timeline, numberline.
