CA G36?

Sep 27, 2004 11:05pm
anyone have any information about when Classic Army's G36 is due to be in stores?

who cares anyways... Found out that the new CA G36 won't have a metal body. 7mm mech box, yes, but metal body, no. Might as well buy a TM

why would it have a metal body, if they are tryin to replicate a real gun, the real g36 series dosnt have metal recievers

The body will be a fiber force stock, which is much stronger than the ABS that TM uses. The gun should be out some time this month, but we aren't sure yet. It had to be reworked because of some wobble problems. CA isn't sending it out before they have all the problems fixed. But our last update from Spartan Imports puts it as coming in some time this month.

Hmm, I wouldn't mind test-driving one of these, if the prices are comparable to TM's. Any word on whatthey're gonna cost?

If the price is comparable to TM. Why not just get a TM?

The gun is going to cost about the same as a normal CA gun. The biggest difference is that everything in the gun will be of much higher quality than standard TM. The body like I said is a fiber force composite material, which is much stronger than ABS.

CA external's I have no probs with. But internals, I have yet to see CA gearbox having higer quality than TM. I've worked on a few and only had luck with one. I'm working on right now that's giving me nothing but problems. So personaly I would not own anything with a CA gearbox. I have an M4 that mostly has CA externals with TM gearbox and works great. And I have yet to have any probs with TM gearboxes.

For the record, I have had only good experience with my CA, and would definitely buy one again.

You cannot compare the quality control between the two brands. How well do those CA internals fit into the CA mechbox?? Floppily and sloppily. There is much more efficiency in a TM mechbox than a CA mechbox. You can hear it just by pulling the trigger. TM uses nylon bushings for a reason.

I had a CA M4 ........ the gearbox was horrible, kept stripping pistons, breaking tappet the plate, hopup was horrible, Every 3rd or 4th game i played with it, something would break....you know how i fixed it?

I think you guys are way too stuck on how CA guns used to be. I have had very few problems with the new CA gear boxes. On the contrary, every time I work on a TM gun, there is almost always a problem. I don't know if its because when I get the gun the operator has done something to it or what, but I do know that the stock internals on the new CA guns are way better than that on the TM guns.

CA guns are great as in previous recommedations in other threads, people have recommended them for a better buy for someone who wants a metal body. I've seen/heard new style CA guns and they still have that "metallic" sound when fired, sounds like something is getting pounded! Then I'v heard other CA guns that have a sorta "ripping" sound, still don't know where that comes from. The AEG's worked good, just didn't sound right....
