rocket launcher

has anyone been able to make a co2 cartridge using launcher? i've been trying to see if the internet showed anything but i cant find anything on there. so if anyone has the best way to create a release valve or anything, it would be helpful.

you want to get a regulator valve and use compressed air, not CO2

If you want an electric valve, go to Home Depot and get a sprinkler valve thats powered by a solenoid. You're limited to about 80 psi, but that should be more than enough. Thats the most popular kind of valve to use in the pneumatic spud gun community.

my air cannon uses a bike pump to fill it up to 60 PSI and can launch a nerf rocket 200 feet easy...at we're guessing around 200 to 250 fps.
We can't find an effective way of firing BBs though. We put some in inside a cup, just down the barrel, with wadding, with wadding and a cup, and a few other ways, and we can't get the thing to shoot a consistent spray of BBs more than...40 feet absolute max...so if you have any great ideas to make it shower BBs, I'd love to hear it!
does it have to be that long for the pressure chamber? or can u make that smaller?

You can make a barrel to fire nerf rockets out of 2" PVC pipe. The 2" PVC pipe has 2" outer diameter, and the nerfs are slightly smaller than 2", so it works. The pressure chamber can be made relatively small. We chopped ours down to only 8" b/c we did some calculations and anything bigger than that just wastes the air pressure (the rocket is out of the barrel already).

so you just glue the pipes together?

just google pneumatic cannon or spud guns......
Seek the Narrow Gate, for the path is broad and the gate is wide that leads to destruction.

Sometimes people do not call their hits legitimately because they do not feel the bb hit them. What makes you think people will call the hit (legitimately or not) when a rocket lands near them. I threw a grenade that failed to go off, I heard the people say it is just a grenade, as they continued to attack. The grenade landed approx. one foot away from them.
If you give to a charity please think of giving to one of these two charities. The Naval Special Warfare Foundation or Navy SEAL Warrior Fund.

well i see what you mean but the only place i play is at fort ord. we brought up a rocket launcher rig last time and everytime the rocket went into a building, an admin or what not went to them to tell them they're out. so it works out. as for a grenade, if its a dud, we consider t as it didnt go off. and for buying more guns, i have too many ;) and this seems quite fun to make anyways =)
