ok so since i have a PTW challenge kit that didn't come put together or with an orange tip i'm within my legal rights to not have an orange tip since i didn't remove any markings AND no orange tip was required for import or sale since it wasn't an imitation firearm when it was sold?

IMO it is no big deal to have it. Why push it? If it is a big deal to you feel it is against whatever then don't do it, but know what can happen if you do. Yo me it is not worth the hassle.

+1. State Law < Federial Law. ("Typically, the Federial Goverment allows State Goverments to have priority over the law...What might be a state crime, can also be a federial crime. [Or, it may be legal for one state to have somethine, while another state considers it illegal] " - Capt. Chris Carrion. Sunnyvale Public Safety)

Its all up to the police. Out of all the games I have had where the police showed up, NON have said anything about orange tips, or threatened to confiscate guns. They say be safe and have fun :D
You just got killed by a Daewoo Lanos...How You like me now?

Regardless of the law, keep the orange tip, if you dont have one stick some orange tape on. I ran into an officer while playing on some property with permission (about a year ago), well away from the public eye.

You just nailed it. There is NO federal AW ban/laws. Just laws pertaining to barrel length and machine guns.
