CA Sportline M15A4 Carbine

They're here at AEX Sac. They shoot about 310 and we can hit a pole at 120 ft with them. Anyone interested in them can come by and check them out.

How much are they running for?

LOL at first i thought this was a joke...i was like AEX has always carried M15s...never heard about the sprotline series. Well i did a quick search and damn they are cheap! Check this out:

So will a MBK work with these sprotlines!
I don't know where that Skunk Ape sleeps, but I do know that he had impure relations with my wife.

The body takes down the same as any other CA M15 and the idea was for them to be completely compatible with all the CA parts and accessories already out there. If you wanted to do an MBK though you'd probably be better off just spending the extra $150 and getting the non-Sportline version.

I have to say the CA sportline surpassed all my expectations. This past weekend i had the chance to test the shit out of mine. With a ppa110 spring and bushing upgrade the gun is shooting around 400 fps,(with 0.20s) it seemed to handle it with no problem. The stock hop-up unit really impressed me as well. With the range of 150+ feet, i had no problem hitting people.

So can you put a metal body onto it? Does anyone know?
Dec 12, 2007 4:50am
Yes you could.

there is some thing about the ICS gear boxes being a few mm longer also If i remember right.

I remember there being something odd. I know they're hops are different and won't work in CA/TM/etc so I'm sure the gearbox is probably a bit tighter someplace as well.
Dec 12, 2007 6:24am
ok. so i might as well not even bother with it. i got it from a friend with a messed up gearbox and he said he didnt want it anymore and im trying to find a way to put it to use. The gearbox however came with a top and lower reciever not just a one piece so that could result in the different size of the gearbox and mbk

So, this is the "new line" of AEG's that was rumored a couple of months ago, when I was at AEX. Hmmm, verrry interesting. Is the M15 the only model out right now? Or just the only model AEX is carrying so far? It'll definitely give the chimans some healthy competition.

I've heard from a few people who have bought it that the new sportline does have the same stock internals as the metal body M15, except i did hear that the inner barrel is anodized blue aluminum and the cylinder is also anodized blue, but most likely brass.

How's the texture/finish on the receivers of these things? Is it like plastic-simulating-metal [just like Marui] or like a polymer AR15 receiver?

they have blue nylon bushings. Not quite the same as normal CA Internals but close.
Dec 14, 2007 5:15am
someone needs to make some bushings out of cnc'd delrin. Those would be nifty

The closeup pic of the trades on the receiver looked very nice, like maybe even laser etched?

Isn't delrin harder than nylon? If true, then they would last much longer than stock TM bushings, given same stock TM internals.

metal is also harder than nylon so would that wear out faster then delrin?

DuPont's website calls Delrin an "acetal resin" probably approaching the hardness of glass (mineral/micah), so metal would probably outlast delrin. But the friction coefficient is probably lower on delrin, so ROF would be slightly higher.

Hows the cylinder, cylinder head, piston head compression with these? :P
Dec 14, 2007 10:57pm
One of these plus a metal body(Guarder, Hurricane, G&P etc.) = Classic Army with properly dimensioned receiver = good value.
