you can read the instructions to her and she can do the actual "labor" part. And while you're doing it ask her questions as to what purpose each thing/part is for. That way you're helping her but she'll be learning too. And if the teacher questions her. She can answer them honestly and confidently.

ehhh...she still did the work didn't she? Even though everything was off the internet. I'd be impressed if a 3rd grader did an entire science project without the aid of some form of instruction/preplanned science project.
