Charging batteries

OK so this battery doesnt say howl ong to charge it for so how do i find out. Its a 8.4v 2400mah

those don't have an auto cutoff. You're best to keep an eye on it once in a while. If the battery is too hot to hold after holding onto it for like 30+ secs. then it's being overcharged. Those little lights don't really help since it's actually still charging

Just make sure that if you have an adjustable rate charger, you don't do too many amps, because that can mess up you battery.

If its a 2400 MAH and you're charging at the recommended 300 MA, you'd be fully charged in 8 hours, assuming it had no charge when you began.

Another more accurate way is to find out the output of the charger, divide it into the capacity of the battery. The resulting number is the time needed to fully charge the battery.
