Airsoft on Ebay
How does everyone feel about buying an airsoft gun from Ebay? Is it worth taking the risk because it is usually cheaper, and they usually have what you want? Or is it better to pay a little more, and maybe do a little waiting to get something that is located near you?

Are we talking used guns on ebay? I've bought new guns on ebay with no problem. With all the clones around you need to know what you are looking for, and of course, the regular price of what it is. You'll be hard pressed to find a brand new TM M4 for 200 shipped on ebay with a battery and things ya know?

It's a TM M14. It has some nice upgrades that I would buy if I bought the gun new. It says that is has a missing bolt catch, and one other cosmetic thing. But I'm still not sure, it's like $325 and it has like an tightbore barrel and some hicaps and a battery. I think there's a return policy but I don't know how that will work. I'll probably have to pay the $20 shipping twice, but anyways I'll think about it.

I've bought a couple of used guns off ebay. Just contact the seller and asked to talk to them over the phone. Also check feedback.

yeah, but tightbores, batteries, and hicaps are pretty expensive these days. Like forty dollars for a decent battery. Another fourty for the tightbore, and like twenty-five for each hicap. Then theres the metal bushings and short outer barrel with the black paint job. All of which I liked. But it already ended, and I didn't get it. But I think that my next gun will definitely be a TM M14 and then I'll put some upgrades in.

its prob. a good thing. Just cause they say all thats in it doesnt mean it is. My buddy bought a gun and had some guy upgrade it before he recieved it and paid him and extra 150$ for spring, bushings, piston, head, and some other stuff. Well lets just say it was shooting about 315 with a m120. so i took it from him and took it apart and there was no compression and the parts he put in were from another gun, not upgraded parts. SO BE CAREFUL YOU CAN NOT TRUST PEOPLE ON THE INTERNET!!! I posted up a pic of the head as a "name that part" game a long time ago.
Yeah, that was why I was reluctant to buy that gun. I would rather buy one off of this site, and check it out at a game so I know what I'm getting.

Ive bought two guns not off ebay but from people that had good feedback and had to ship. they both ended up horrible. pretty much trash. my 2 cents would be stay away from that and deal with something that you can look over in person.

I started by buying my first AEG on Ebay and got a shitty plastic clone.
Worst case senario, (happened to my friend alex), gun never came, tried to contact the seller never got through, talked to ebay, they sent a 1/3 refund.
If ignorance is bliss why aren't more people happy?
i always pay for ebay things with paypal through my credit card so that way if anything happens and paypal is being a dick i call up American Express and tell them the situation (only had to do it once... got a miniSD card that was a fake SanDisk so item wasn't what i paid for) and they put a dispute on the transaction and issue a refund in a week or so.
